Dou Houz Georgetown

Prefer this place sebab dia bukan kawasan crowded walaupun tengah2 bandar, dia tersorok2 tapi masih blh dicari, ok lah bagi orang2 yg bercuti dengan kawan2 tanpa anak2, actually selesa je tau. Dia bilik kecil yang ada loteng bed kat atas. Mcm tu, harga pun berpatutan, bersih juga

first of all，the location is really good，nearby to komtar，and on the main street，its easier for guest that stay here for have some local food，and just walk to nearby than have a bus to everywhere. Room is clean n tidy , but the locker underground is full of dust...but the terrible things is，yea in malaysia culture, we take off our shoes before go in to house, but the floor is quiet dirty and stinky😭second i don't know that the notice that have to quit after 10pm, but still can heard the owner service and knocking lounder at the ground floor in 12am😅third, toilet are terrible, that's no electricity no lights,no heat water even no toilet paper 😢, don't know is any problem for the electricity, but there are no any notice or information from the reception, make guest like crazy looking for switch on the lights , finding for buttons, and even naked out from bathroom for switch the hot water on....guest just can bath with cold water and in a super dark bathroom,

Nice hostel very good located. Loved the common area with the couch & the tables. They also have exchange books a basic kitchen and filtered water. I was staying in the dorm... I won't recommend it.. the dorm is super dark and each bed space I found it super small... The toilet as well as showers are on the ground floor (dorm in 1st floor) meaning u always need to go up and down the stairs. Maybe the private rooms are a better deal.

Location - very strategic. Near to eateries within 5 minutes walk whether north, south, east or west directions for Chinese, Japanese, Malay and mamak stalls or restaurants. Also, 5 mins walking distance to Komtar.|Room - clean. Pillows a bit flat. A bit noisy|Staff - Fuad was a gem. Friendly , helpful and informative on where to eat and what buses/transportation to take. Thanks, a lot as it make our life so much easier.

Not one of my favourite hostels but it was ok. I’m not interested in a nice common area when I’m travelling, I care about privacy comfort cleanliness security and connectivity. The beds were ok but the mattress had a nasty habit of slipping all the time. Sometimes in set ups like these even though the air con is good you really need to leave the privacy curtains open to maintain air flow which kind of defeats the object. Washrooms were ok but on the ground level down a potentially difficult staircase of very shallow steps. WiFi was a big issue for me it was a bit in and out especially in the dorm room. Location excellent and staff friendly. I would probably chose another hostel if I return

Great stay at Dou Houz Georgetown! Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a perfect location. Everything was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended! 😊
