Sy makan Nasi tok deed special. Mmg puas hati. Daripada nasi, lauk ayam goreng berempah, masak lomak daging salai, ulam, ikan masin, sambal belacan. Semuanya Masyaallah, Tabarakkallah sedap. Berbaloi datang dr KL ke seromban. Harga pun setimpal dgn portion hidangan. Ayam goreng whole leg berempah dia berhantu! Sodap hingga ketulang.

My meal was superb, Alhamdulillah. Hailing from Nismilan ancestry, I take my masak lomak very seriously as I had the best made by my Wan. I can say Tok Deed's masak lomak daging salai is up there amongst the best. The kuah is thick with bits of real ingredients. They use real kunyit, non of that powdery substance. Cili api tumbuk and daun kunyit. You can tell that it's cooked with patience as there is no curdling of the santan, which i think is freshly parut and not the processed boxed santan. The thinly sliced daging salai has that classic smokey flavour. Its tender and not liat, absorbs the kuah nicely. The spice level is not overpowering, just enough to get you sweating a little, while enjoying all the accompanying flavours. This is how a real masak lemak should be. Now the ayam goreng rempah is huge! Perfectly fried and cooked all through the bone, crispy and still retains its juiciness. You can taste the rempah inside the tender flesh, means it's marinated with patience. The habuk2 from the rempah gives strong tangy and earthy flavours as you would expect from an ayam goreng rempah. The condiments complements the whole dish. From the ulam to the beef broth. It's a complete meal I tell you. For me, you get what you pay for - a big portion of good quality honest food.
