Marvelous place & studio of Dato Ramli Ibrahim & Sivarajah... great artist

First live performance since the pandemic. The theatre has a Balinese touch to it, which make the ambience even nicer. The night was breezy and pleasant to be outdoor. Seated at a corner of the amphitheatre, but it still gave us a full view of the entire stage. The performance was terrific. Kudos!!

I recently attended the Navarathri performance at Sutra Foundation and was truly amazed by the talent and dedication of both the students and teachers. It was a beautiful show, and I deeply appreciate the warm hospitality extended by everyone there. That said, I humbly share a few thoughts that might help make future events even better. The seating was quite limited I understand this is due to the space, but perhaps preparing a few more seats for public events would allow more people to enjoy the performances. Also, I noticed that the students looked a little tired because of the warm-up just before the show. Some seemed stressed and couldn’t perform at their best. Maybe avoiding warm-ups right before stage time, and keeping classes separate during performances, could help the students conserve their energy and shine more comfortably. Overall, it was an inspiring experience. Hats off to Sutra for nurturing such artistry and creating such a welcoming space. Thank you once again for the beautiful performance.

'So beautiful, so elegant, looking like a wow' would be the first impression one gets upon attending open day. I enrolled my kids based on that but eventually learnt their sugar coated words merely to attract students. No arangetram, but they have like church's revival of vow ceremony every year. My kids did not progress much. I realized the instructors were just students from another group. I seldom see the actual instructors except when the show tickets were up. I was puzzled as I did not have prior knowledge of this art form. At first it was Sundays, then moved to Saturdays. Later I did my research and decided to move out my kids silently. Some parents too left this place with their kids to another. No parents should experience just like what we encountered.
