Clay Expression

This is my second full wheel-throwing course with Cindy, and once again, I’m deeply grateful for the generosity of knowledge and guidance she shares so patiently. Each session strengthens not just my technique, but my confidence — giving me the courage to grow, explore, and trust myself more as a potter. Learning here feels grounding, encouraging, and genuinely inspiring. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the masterclasses at Clay Expression to anyone serious about developing their craft. The teachers, especially Cindy and Zana, are thoughtful mentors, and the space itself is well-equipped, supportive, and filled with good energy. I’m looking forward to completing every masterclass they offer and continuing to return — not just for the skills, but for the community, the care, and the experience. Thank you so much, sifus 🤍

This was my second time at Clay Studio! The first time I tried wheel throwing, and this time I did hand building. My instructor was Cindy — the owner and master potter herself. She was incredibly warm, kind, and helpful throughout the session. Cindy took the time to explain about the studio, how they utilize solar energy, and how they recycle most of their materials, which I find very ESG-conscious and thoughtful — love that they’re helping to save the earth in their own way. After my session, I walked around the studio admiring the beautiful crafts, and Cindy was so patient, answering all my endless questions and sharing about her new initiatives for future clay sessions. It was such a wonderful and inspiring experience. I’ll definitely be back again, and I can’t wait to collect my matcha trio set!

I studied the wheel throwing course here in 2024 and I loved it very much. I came back with my sister for an one-off class in August 2025 as I want to make a coffee cup as a gift for my friend. Cindy and Zana are so professional, supportive, friendly and happy. They also help me to speed up the usual time to get the product as I need to leave the country sooner than that. I highly recommend anyone to try this as new beautiful experience.

We had an amazing time with Cindy ( the owner 😱) and Zana! They were gentle, patient and clear in their instructions. I think what made a big difference was the genuine, friendly and warm conversations we had as well with them. Lots of laughter with the humorous Zana, too! The environment was so clean, airy and just made you feel comfortable to create something. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try 🙂 Will be back for more. It was my first experience at the wheel and hand pottery. Not as easy as it looks but so rewarding. Cindy and Zana were encouraging instructors and I managed to make a few pieces which were lovely. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

I recently had the opportunity to learn the Korean Style Wheel Throwing at Clay Expression. The instructor, Cindy was really attentive and patience. It’s a lovely environment and Cindy and Zana were very friendly. Not only my wedging skill but my wheel throwing skill as well has improved tremendously. It was a great experience for me. My 2 boys (13 and 16) and I had the pleasure of having a wheel-throwing workshop at Clay Expression recently and we all had such a great time! My 16yo expressed that he very much appreciated how kind and friendly both the staff, Zana and Lea were, during the process, making it fun and relaxing. And my 13yo mentioned he liked how concise the instructions were, that there were no constraints as to what he was allowed to try to create, and how there was plenty of time and freedom to practice. For me, it was like a meditation- a chance to focus intently on one thing, relax, and calm the mind- such a therapeutic experience! The whole session had us all fully immersed. At the end of 2 hours, we each had several cups, bowls, plates and receptacles of various shapes and sizes ready to.be fired. We would definitely recommend this as both an individual or family experience!!
