Kalamandapam Hall

I was recently invited to attend a Hindu wedding ceremony/reception held at Kalamandapam, an event venue adjoining Sri Kandaswamy Temple at Jln Tebing, Brickfields. It's my 1st visit there. Parking is limited as there are commercial buildings and condominiums along the road. Was advised to take Grab. I opted to ride lrt and monorail instead. Kalamandapam is just about 10mins walk from Tun Sambanthan Monorail Station. As I have arrived 1/2 hour late, I quickly took some photos of the exterior of Sri Kandaswamy Temple without checking out its interior. The event hall was upstairs which can also be accessible by a lift. It's an open spacious hall without obstruction of pillars so easy to arrange different seating/deco layouts though I gathered that max capacity is 600 paxs. The wedding reception was held downstairs and guests can opt to dine at either the indoor (aircon) or outdoor section. Catering service is required with no in house cooking. The whole venue is clean and well maintained and coupled with the temple next door where priests can easily be arranged to conduct Hindu ceremonies, it's a popular venue choice.

I attended an event at Kalamandapam Brickfields last month & it was a very pleasant experience.. The temple hall is spacious, well-maintained & has a really positive, calm vibe—perfect for events & gatherings.. Parking is plentiful & the parking area is within walking distance from the hall which makes it very convenient.. Overall, a great venue with good energy.. Highly recommended for events 😃

One of the best hindu Temple 🛕,special god like Murugan temple

Very bad experience. This is not a convenient location to host any event. It can accommodate only 10 parking spots. The management and security services are terrible and do not consider people even for pick-up or drop-off. The security guard was very rude.

My first time attending an Indian wedding. Spacious dining area for the feast with both air-conditioned & outdoor setups. The ceremony hall is comfortable as well although the capacity may be a bit limited during the rituals. They provide a lift too for those with special needs.

It was my first time at this famous event hall in Brickfields. Attended Malaysia Hindu Sangam's "Urgent Town Hall Meeting with Nationwide Hindu Temples" on 06.04.2025. The hall is quite well managed with a quality audio system. The event hall is on the top floor, with the dining hall located on the ground floor.

Ideal place for Indian weddings or functions. We had our wedding here recently. Friendly staff. Huge space able to cater up to 600 pax (300 now due to SOP) comfortably. Downstairs with the marque is also able to sit as many for dining. There is also an elevator which helps with elderly & ppl with disabilities. Clean restrooms. Lots of parking. Very popular so reservations in advance are needed.
